What does flanged connection mean on this gate valve?

A flanged connection has matching flat metal plates built onto the valve and pipe ends. We put a gasket between these two plates and lock them down with bolts all the way around. This joint holds firm at high working pressure, and you can quickly separate the valve for cleaning or maintenance. It suits bigger pipe diameters very well. Threaded joints tend to seep more easily in harsh industrial conditions, while flanged connections keep leakage to a minimum.

Will SS304 material fit my working pipeline conditions?

SS304 stainless steel works great for most mild corrosive media, including clean chemical liquids, freshwater, wastewater and weak acid solutions. It resists rust and oxidation well under normal temperature ranges. It’s a cost-effective pick for chemical factories, water treatment and marine piping. If your medium contains strong chloride or heavy concentrated acid, SS316 would be a better alternative instead.

Am I allowed to use this SS304 gate valve to adjust or throttle fluid flow?

We don’t recommend throttling flow with this gate valve at all. It’s only designed for full open or fully closed use. If you leave the wedge half open, fast flowing liquid will constantly scratch the metal sealing surface. This quickly causes permanent internal leakage, plus extra pipe vibration and water hammer that damage the whole pipeline system. Choose a globe valve if you need to regulate flow speed.

What separates rising stem gate valves from non-rising stem types?

When you open a rising stem gate valve, the stem sticks out clearly. You can instantly see if the valve is open or closed just by checking how far the stem extends, making routine checks very simple.

For non-rising stem models, the stem never pushes out of the valve body. They need much less vertical room, so they’re perfect for tight spaces or underground pipework. We supply both designs for our SS304 flanged gate valves.

Do you have different pressure ratings for these stainless steel 304 flanged gate valves?

Absolutely. We stock a full range of standard pressure grades to suit various project working requirements.Domestic PN series includes PN10, PN16 and PN25, while ANSI standard covers Class 150 and Class 300. PN16 and Class 150 are the most popular regular options for general corrosive pipelines. Higher pressure ratings like PN25 / Class 300 are produced for heavier industrial working pressure.
