Stainless Steel Globe valves are shut-off valves that operate in a straight up-and-down motion. Inside the valve, the disc travels along the stem to open or block fluid flow through pipes.
These valves seal tightly and run smoothly. They allow you to adjust flow accurately, and can fully close pipelines when needed. You will find them used in most industrial piping systems for flow control and shut-off work.
A Stainless Steel Globe valve controls flow by lifting the valve disc vertically to block the channel directly. It has good flow regulation performance, tight sealing performance and small closing torque. It is suitable for frequent opening and closing, flow adjustment and medium cut-off applications.
A Stainless Steel Globe valve opens and closes by lifting the gate plate up and down. It has almost no flow resistance when fully open, but it cannot adjust flow accurately. Gate valves can only be fully opened or fully closed. They aren’t designed to be opened and closed often.
Simply put, globe valves can both stop flow and adjust it, but gate valves are just for completely opening or shutting off pipelines.
Nominal Pressure (PN/Class): The maximum working pressure the valve can bear, including PN16/PN25 and ANSI Class 150/300 standards.
Body Material: Stainless steel materials such as CF8/304, CF8M/316, CF3M/316L, with excellent corrosion resistance and rust resistance.
Trim & Internal Parts Material: Valve core, valve seat, stem and disc use wear-resistant & corrosion-resistant stainless steel and stellite alloy.
Connection Type: Flanged connection, threaded connection, welded connection.
Structural Type: Outside screw & yoke (OS&Y), rising stem globe valve.
Applicable Medium: Water, steam, oil, gas, corrosive chemical media.
Applicable Temperature Range: Conventional temperature and high temperature resistant working conditions.
Stainless Steel Globe valves regulate pipeline flow by moving the internal disc up and down directly.
When you close the handwheel, the stem moves down and seals tightly against the valve seat to stop flow.
Opening it lifts the disc away from the seat, allowing medium to travel through the valve freely.
You can adjust the opening degree freely to get the exact flow you need.
They seal really well and work steadily, so they’re perfect for frequent opening and closing as well as regular flow control applications.
