What is a stainless steel oxygen globe valve, and what scenarios is it suitable for?
This type of globe valve is professionally developed exclusively for oxygen, oxygen-enriched gas delivery pipelines, and it undertakes two core functions: medium cut-off and flow throttling control. Different from ordinary general industrial valves, it undergoes strict oil-free degreasing and high-standard internal polishing to eliminate flammable hidden dangers caused by high-speed oxygen friction and particle collision.
It is widely applied in industrial oxygen stations, chemical gas production lines, metallurgical smelting pipelines, biopharmaceutical purification workshops, aerospace supporting pipelines, and hospital centralized oxygen supply systems. It is the essential safety valve for all high-purity oxygen delivery projects.
Why are oxygen valves mostly made of 304 / 316L stainless steel instead of carbon steel or cast iron?
Carbon steel and cast iron are prone to rust, oxide peeling, and tiny metal debris under long-term working conditions. When these hard particles rub and collide in high-speed flowing oxygen, they will instantly ignite and trigger pipeline explosion accidents.
304 and 316L stainless steel have excellent oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance; after precision polishing, the inner wall is smooth and dense, with no rust flaking, minimal particle shedding, and stable chemical properties. It can adapt to long-term contact with high-purity oxygen and fully satisfy the ultra-clean safety requirements of oxygen medium transportation.
What special anti-combustion and cleaning treatments do your oxygen globe valves go through?
All our finished oxygen globe valves follow a standardized dedicated cleaning process:
First, ultrasonic high-temperature degreasing removes all mechanical lubricating oil, cutting fluid and residual grease inside the valve body;
Second, repeated rinsing with high-purity deionized water washes away fine dust and tiny metal particles;
Third, dry, impurity-free nitrogen purges the valve cavity thoroughly for drying;
Finally, finished products are sealed and packed in a dust-free workshop to prevent secondary pollution.
The whole process ensures zero grease, zero impurities inside the valve, fundamentally avoiding oxygen combustion accidents.
What pressure grades, temperature range and standard specifications do you supply?
Pressure grades: PN16, PN25, PN40, PN64, Class150, Class300, Class600 are conventional stock models; ultra-high pressure customization is available.
Applicable medium temperature: -29°C ~ +180°C, can match normal-temperature oxygen and low-temperature liquid oxygen working conditions.
Nominal diameter range: DN15~DN200 for regular stock; DN6~DN300 non-standard caliber can be customized on demand.
How about the sealing performance? Will frequent opening and closing cause leakage?
We adopt hard precision lapped sealing pairs and oxygen-specific non-flammable sealing filler. Each valve will undergo shell hydraulic strength test and sealing tightness test one by one before delivery, reaching industrial zero-leak standard under rated working pressure.
The valve stem packing structure is optimized to reduce friction loss; even under frequent opening, closing and long-time throttling use, sealing performance stays stable, and medium leakage will not occur.
What connection end types can be selected for installation?
Three mainstream connection forms are available for matching different pipeline construction standards:
Flange connection: suitable for large-diameter main pipelines, convenient for disassembly, inspection and maintenance, in line with GB, ASME B16.5 standards;
NPT/BSP threaded connection: small-caliber pipelines, compact installation for small oxygen equipment;
Butt welding end: applied to high-pressure long-distance pipelines, firm connection, good sealing, suitable for heavy-duty engineering projects.

What is your delivery cycle? Can urgent project orders be delivered in advance?
Conventional stainless steel oxygen globe valves of common specifications are in stock, and can be delivered within 1~3 working days after receiving payment.
For conventional customized orders, the production cycle is 7~15 working days; for large engineering bulk orders, the delivery schedule can be negotiated separately.
For urgent emergency orders, we will arrange priority production lines to shorten the delivery period properly.
What are the key installation and maintenance tips for oxygen globe valves?
Installation must keep the valve cavity clean; do not use ordinary greasy tools during installation to avoid oil contamination;
Install strictly according to the medium flow direction marked on the valve body;
Do not open and close the valve rapidly and violently in daily use, slow operation can protect the sealing surface;
Regularly check the tightness of packing and flange position; once abnormal leakage appears, stop using immediately and clean or replace accessories after cutting off oxygen supply.
