What advantages does 316L stainless steel have as valve material?

316L material adds molybdenum composition, so it resists saltwater, chloride liquid and various acids much better than SS304. Its low carbon composition avoids welding corrosion issues. It works steadily in marine, chemical and other harsh corrosive environments and lasts far longer than regular stainless steel.

How does the flanged connection structure work?

Both the valve and matching pipes come with flat flange plates. We place a gasket between the two flanges and fasten them tightly with bolts all around. The structure holds firm under high pressure, and you can separate the valve easily for cleaning or maintenance. It suits large-diameter pipes and has far fewer leakage risks than threaded connections.

What kinds of pipelines fit this 316L gate valve?

It’s widely applied in scenes with corrosive medium: seawater desalination equipment, ship piping, fine chemical production lines, pharmaceutical pipelines, saline wastewater treatment and pipelines carrying weak acid liquids.

Is this valve suitable for adjusting fluid flow volume?

Not at all. The gate valve is only meant to fully open or fully cut off the pipeline flow. Keeping it half-open will wear the sealing wedge severely, leading to persistent internal leakage, plus vibration and water hammer that damage the whole piping system. Globe valves are the right choice if you need flow throttling.
