How does it work?
Turn the handwheel to lift or lower the internal disc against the valve seat. Spin the handwheel to move the inner disc up or down against the seat. Lift the disc halfway to slow down the fluid, or raise it fully to get maximum flow. Push the disc tight against the seat to fully stop the flow entirely. This setup lets you adjust the flow volume smoothly no matter how open the valve is.

Flanged vs. Threaded?
Flanged globe valves lock onto pipes with bolted flanges. They support large diameters and high working pressure, and you can quickly separate the valve from piping for inspection or repairs. Threaded versions screw straight onto small pipes, only suitable for tiny sizes and low-pressure lines. Threaded joints tend to seize after long service and are much harder to disassemble later.

The contact area of flange gasket provides stable sealing effect, more suitable for large diameter, high pressure and frequent maintenance working conditions. Threaded valves are only for small size low-pressure pipelines.
What key points for flange installation?
Clean welding slag, rust and debris on flange sealing surface before installation;
Match standard gaskets according to medium temperature (graphite for high temp, PTFE for corrosion);
Tighten flange bolts symmetrically and evenly to avoid uneven stress leakage;
Do not over-tighten bolts to crush and damage the gasket.
How to maintain flange globe valve to extend service life?
Grease the valve stem once every three months to stop it from getting stuck.
Re-torque all flange bolts once the high-temperature piping has fully heated up.
Clear out any leftover corrosive fluid inside valves if you plan to shut the system down for a long stretch.
Cycle standby valves open and closed on a routine basis to stop internal parts rusting shut.
