Huadu Valve Group is based in Wenzhou, China, supplying durable, dependable industrial valves worldwide. Our flagship High-Pressure Gate Valve adopts sturdy A105 and WCB carbon steel to stand up to extreme pressure and temperature fluctuations. Equipped with Stellite hardfaced wedges and full bore design, it achieves tight shutoff with minimal flow resistance and stable long-term operation, ideal for oil & gas refineries, thermal power plants and high-pressure chemical pipelines.
We are a certified valve manufacturer with ISO and API credentials, equipped with precision production lines and strict full-range QC including API 598 hydrostatic tests. OEM and ODM customizations are available with flexible MOQ for trial and bulk orders. Our heavy-duty high-pressure gate valves are shipped globally and highly praised by engineering clients.
What kinds of working scenarios can these high-pressure gate valves adapt to?
They act as full-bore isolation cut-off equipment for high-pressure pipelines, extensively used in oil & gas transportation, thermal power plants, chemical refineries and high-temperature steam lines. They fully open or fully close flow for pipeline maintenance and emergency shut-off.

Is this type of gate valve suitable for throttling or pressure adjustment work?
Absolutely not. These gate valves are designed purely for on-off isolation. Partially opening the valve will lead to severe erosion of the hard-alloy wedge sealing surface by fast-flowing medium, resulting in permanent leakage. Special regulating valves are required for pressure reduction and flow control.
What raw materials go into manufacturing these high-pressure gate valves?
Valve stem: A182 F304, A182 F316 or 13Cr stainless steel
Wedge disc: Carbon steel substrate with Stellite hard surfacing
Seat faces: Stellite / Inconel hard alloy
Sealing gaskets: RTJ metal ring gaskets, graphite spiral wound gaskets
In high-pressure pipeline service, what advantages make high-pressure gate valves a better choice compared with ball valves and butterfly valves?
First, their full straight through bore brings nearly zero flow resistance; ball valves have trapped cavities and butterfly valves have internal disc obstructions that create extra pressure loss.
Second, the all-metal hard seal wedge structure can bear ultra-high Class 2500 pressure and high temperature, while soft-sealed ball and butterfly valves will fail under extreme thermal and pressure loads.
Third, thick heavy-wall bodies and optional welded bonnets eliminate leakage risks, which floating ball and wafer butterfly valves cannot resolve for critical high-pressure flammable medium pipelines.
Fourth, they support API 6D fire-safe certification, a mandatory safety standard that most butterfly valves cannot meet.
What core structural designs distinguish a standard high-pressure gate valve?
Full through-conduit straight bore to cut down flow loss
Solid or split wedge coated with Stellite alloy for bubble-tight metal-to-metal sealing
Thick-wall cast/forged carbon steel body, bolted or pressure-resistant welded bonnet
RTJ metal ring flange gaskets for reliable high-pressure sealing
Multi-layer backseat stem seal to stop external medium leakage
Fully compliant with API 6D, ASME B16.34, passing API 598 hydrostatic and fire-safe tests
